To learn more about our Sussex Rosé please watch our ‘1 Minute Tasting’ video presented by our Consultant Winemaker, Salvatore Leone:
De-stemmed and crushed Pinot Noir leads this blended rose with Ortega contributing texture and a tropical nose of ripe fruit. Both, the Ortega and the Pinot Noir had very subtle oak contact (about 7 months with the PN and 3 weeks with the Ortega) to also improve the texture and smoothness of the wine. The Bacchus helps lift the nose and add complexity whilst the Dornfelder contributes colour intensity and fruit.
Tasting notes: Delicate salmon-pink colour, red peach on the nose, apricot & mango, with a touch of rose petals, medium intensity, round, fresh and mineral on the palate.
Cepage: Pinot Noir (50%), Ortega (25%), Dornfelder (13%), Bacchus (12%),
