Vineyard Tour with Sussex Wine & Cheese pairing Tasting
Our popular vineyard tour and wine tasting experience is the perfect relaxing and enjoyable way to learn about vinegrowing and winemaking in Sussex. After a welcome cup of coffee or tea you will visit our vineyard and winery before sampling our wines with thoughtfully paired local Sussex cheeses under the guidance of our experienced staff. To ensure our tours remain informative and engaging we keep our group size to maximum of 22.
- Our Vineyard Tour and Wine Tasting takes place at 11am and 2pm on most Saturdays from May to September. It also runs at 2pm on Sundays in July and August. The tour and lasts approx. 1 hr 45mins. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your tour time as we will start the tours promptly!
- Our tours go ahead whatever the weather so please keep an eye on the weather forecast and dress appropriately
- The tour involves a walk over rough ground and grass in the vineyard so please wear appropriate footwear.
- During the guided tasting you will taste four of our wines (a sparkling, two still and our ever-popular English Vermouth) matched with samples of local Sussex cheeses. ALLERGY NOTES: The cheeses provided for our tastings are made from sheep and cow’s milk. One of the sheep milk cheeses is unpasteurised. Please advise us in advance if you have any allergy concerns.
- Either before or after your tour you will have the opportunity to visit our Tasting Room & Shop to enjoy a further glass of wine or purchase some wines to take home. We also serve premium local Sussex Cheese and Sussex Charcuterie Boards and sharing platters in our Tasting Room which can be booked in advance during the check-out process or may be ordered on the day (subject to availability). PLEASE NOTE: Your cheese for the Tour is included in the ticket price. These boards are for additional consumption BEFORE or AFTER your Tour, if you wish to have them.
- If you have a voucher for one of our tours you will be able to redeem this at the final step of the check-out.
- CANCELLATIONS: All bookings are non-refundable. We are happy to move your booking to a new date subject to availability provided at least 48 hours notice is given. Please call 01273 831222 or email us on info@albourneestate.co.uk
- We welcome private bookings for tours and tastings as well as venue hire year round. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

We had a wine tour with tasting and cheese ,followed by Rose wine and a charcuterie platter .
Wine tour and rating was superb with an excellent tour guide/ host Peter.
All wines were very very good especially the sparkling wine . The vermouth was a complete surprise , something we would not normally have drunk but so good we bought a bottle together with the sparkling wine .
Impressed with the sustainability of the vineyard and how much that had been accomplished in building the vineyard from scratch in such a short time .
A small boutique vineyard , thoroughly recommended .

My sister and I took my mum to Albourne Estate to do a vineyard tour for my mum’s birthday.
We faced the poor weather (thunder and lightening storm) which stopped us going out into the vineyard so we were offered the chance to delay, but I’m glad we didn’t, our tour and wine and cheese tasting was a lot of fun and the wine & local cheeses delicious.
Bonnie, the customer relations manager (who also happens to be a dog) was the star of the show.
And luckily the weather picked up later and we were allowed to do a self-guided tour of the vineyard, which is absolutely beautiful. A must see. Definitely worth the money.

Really great little estate with very knowledgeable people. Went for a group wine tasting with friends and it was really good. Knowledgeable lady talking about the wines who was happy to answer all our questions and teach us everything we needed to know about wines and wine production. Perfect place for it, great views, lovely wine room, fantastic wines. All in a super afternoon for anyone who likes wine and/or scenery. The wines are fantastic. The sparkling wine was summer in a bottle and I could not leave without a case of wine of course. Would definitely recommend both the wine and the visit.

Did a wine tasting and vineyard / winery tour here with our lovely guide Monica, and can't recommend it more highly. We learned a lot about English wine in general, and Albourne in particular - and were impressed by its efforts to become carbon negative. The tasting was great, and the staff helped us out with directions to a place where we could buy more of the amazing cheeses we tasted. Very picturesque setting if you want to drop in for a drink. Excellent!

We visited Albourne Estate for my mother-in-law’s 60th and had an amazing time. The still and sparkling wines were excellent, and our guide was fun, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The setting is beautiful, and the walk from Hassocks Station through country villages made the day even more special. Highly recommend if you're visiting Brighton for the weekend!

We went to the beautiful located winery for flights of sparkling and still wines. We enjoyed all wines but specifically the Chardonnay and the Premier Cuvée. Also the staff were very passionate about the wines and were very friendly.

I do like a vineyard and we are blessed with a few in Sussex. Albourne Estate is in a beautiful location and our tour was very informative probably more than most that I’ve been on. The wines were excellent as was the vermouth and I’m a sucker for oaked Chardonnay and the Albourne Estate variety was very good. A wonderful and informative way to spend a Sunday and I’d highly recommend a visit.

Loved our afternoon picnic at Albourne Estate! The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the picnic was more than enough food for two people! We enjoyed a glass of bubbles in a picturesque setting overlooking the vineyards followed by a short walk around the estate. Would 100% recommend a visit here!

A lovely setting, very informative tour and incredibly clean and tidy. The Customer Relations Manager kept us entertained too and clearly demonstrated her knowledge of every inch of the vineyard. The products are excellent, competitively priced against other "wine clubs" and enjoyed on a fabulous terrace overlooking the vineyard, thank you so much.

We found this place randomly. But we had great experience. It is an amazing place for wine tasting. Also you can take a walk in vineyard with your glass of wine. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our birthday present of a wine taste and tour. Interesting informative tour and wines presented with local cheeses- added to the whole tasting experience. We left with three bottles of Multi vintage and three Sussex rose- delicious...and signed up for the Wind Club!

Great location and exceptional wine. Just visited again for the vineyard tour and tasting and thoroughly enjoyed with my family. Tasted four different wines paired with local cheeses. There is another separate tasting room you can go to for additional drinks and nibbles afterwards and a pop-up raclette van also on occasional Sundays through the year. Will visit again if I can for Friday night supper club

I wasn’t sure what to expect as not a great lover of white wine but it was a wedding gift and I have to say I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! I learnt a lot from the tour, Monica was engaging, friendly and informative. The pairing of wine and cheese was great (I’m not a great lover of cheese) it all made sense, the contrast of flavours, textures etc.
I’m glad I wasn’t driving as I felt a bit tiddly on the way home! An enjoyable couple of hours thank you.

Absolutely lovely experience this weekend visiting this beautiful estate. We had the Vinyard tour and wine tasting with cheese board. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable. Interesting to learn about the work and history of the Vinyard. Bonnie the dog joined us on our tour and we loved playing with her and her tennis ball as we wondered around. The cheeseboard was delicious as were the wines. Would highly recommend visiting here.

Excellent wine, beautiful estate! Staff was very passionate, warm and welcoming. And a cute dog Bunny!
The only thing is, the tour was a bit too long and we felt like some of the things could've been said while we're sipping the wine instead of standing in the hot sun for 1hr. Also, wish picnic baskets were available.
Other than that, a wonderful place to visit.

Lovely Sunday visit with a wine tasting and purchase the White Pinot Noir. Very friendly staff member who made us feel very welcome. Recommend a visit.

Took the self guided tour as the paid tour was fully booked 5 weeks in advance. My tour guide reading seemed a bit boring for the group.
Fantastic grounds. It was quite busy with almost all tables and chairs being used.
Noticed a couple had paid for a picnic basket which you can take and sit down by the lake.
The route has some gentle slopes, nothing too steep and took about half an hour. It's all grass so not recommended for high heels.
Even bought 3 bottles before leaving. Definitely recommend on a sunny / cloudy day.
To the owner, recommend a winter weekend one maybe, festoon lighting around the vines, patio heaters on the decking.
