Embark on a unique and exhilarating journey through the picturesque South Downs National Park to Albourne Estate on an e-bike wine tasting tour. This experience combines the thrill of cycling with the pleasure of discovering local wine and food as well as being a sustainable and positive way to travel!
Run by our friends at Cannonball E-bikes this experience will surely make a memorable day out. You will start your tour in Brighton (other start points are possible, click More Information) and cycle over the South Downs to Albourne Estate. On the way you will be able to enjoy the stunning views of the South Downs National Park, Brighton and the sea to the south, and to the north over the rolling Sussex countryside. You will stop at Devil’s Dyke, the longest, deepest and widest dry valley in England, where your Tour Guide will tell you more about this unique landscape feature. Back in 1825, the well-known English landscape artist, John Constable famously declared this spot ‘the grandest view in the world’
You will then carry on to Albourne Estate for a guided wine tasting experience of 4 of their award-winning wines.. Afterwards you may purchase further wine or local cheese and charcuterie boards from the Tasting Room before returning to Brighton via The Royal Oak in Poynings for a traditional pub lunch.
